Soirée aux Libertés
Liberty City Arts presents “Soirée aux libertés,” an enchanting evening of French mélodie featuring talented local Philadelphia artists. Experience the artistry of accomplished vocalists and pianists as they bring to life the beauty of French art songs at the Northern Liberties Community Center.
Meaning “melody” in French, this performance will showcase the exquisite mélodie compositions of 19th and 20th century French composers. The event, with two 45-minute halves and a brief intermission, marks the second in our series of intimate recitals, following the success of “Lieder in the Liberties.” This unique blend of music, poetry, and visual art creates a transformative experience in Northern Liberties, Philadelphia, aiming to foster a vibrant cultural community that unites artists and enthusiasts alike. Impressionist artwork will complement the music, immersing you in the artistic world of 19th-century Paris.

Le nozze di Figaro
Ms. Tillett was set to perform Susanna in Mozart’s opera Le nozze di Figaro as a young artist with Red River Lyric Opera in Texas in July 2022 but canceled due to prolonged illness.
Dona Nobis Pacem
Ms. Tillett will perform Ralph Vaughan Williams’s Dona Nobis Pacem with the US Army War College and Dickinson College as part of a two-week symposium on War, Justice and Peace in Carlisle, PA.

YPO Girl Scout Workshop
Each year, the Young Patronesses of the Opera holds a Girl Scout Workshop, with the Girl Scout Council of Tropical Florida, where girl scouts from Miami-Dade County gather together to learn about opera. During this year’s online workshop Ms. Tillett will perform works from the German opera Hansel & Gretel by Engelbert Humperdinck, followed by a discussion with the girl scouts about life as an opera singer.
Da Ponte Opera Project
A department-wide project that takes the three Mozart/da Ponte operas - Le nozze di Figaro, Don Giovanni, Così fan tutte - and spends the year in a deep-dive engagement into the history, the language, the music, the coaching, the dramaturgy, the challenges and the performance of these three masterpieces.
Sara will be learning, coaching, and performing Despina in Cosi fan tutte, Zerlina in Don Giovanni, and Susanna in Le Nozze di Figaro over the course of the year.

Bravo Broadway "Even Stephens"
"Even Stephens...the music of Stephen Schwartz & Stephen Sondheim"! Back by popular demand, Tri-Cities Opera does Broadway in this musical revue! Our top-notch Resident Artists and Binghamton University students sing their "farewell" evening of Broadway favorites! The program will celebrate the brilliance of composers Schwartz and Sondheim, in excerpts from PIPPIN, SWEENEY TODD, WICKED, WEST SIDE STORY, GODSPELL, A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC, and more! Binghamton University graduate student, Sara Tillett, soprano, will perform at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, April 28 in FA-Casadesus Recital Hall. The story takes place over one day and intensifies as it unravels. Cara Consilvio will return to direct after directing Hansel and Gretel and Glory Denied, with Music Direction by John Cockerill. The production will be presented as an immersive theatre in Trinity Memorial Episcopal Church and will include Pietro Yon’s Sonata Cromatica for organ played by Trinity’s organist Timothy Smith, Mozart’s Exsultate Jubilate sung by Lianne Aharony and Barber’s Hermit Songs, sung by Gina Moscato.
