Liberty City Arts presents “Soirée aux libertés,” an enchanting evening of French mélodie featuring talented local Philadelphia artists. Experience the artistry of accomplished vocalists and pianists as they bring to life the beauty of French art songs at the Northern Liberties Community Center.

Meaning “melody” in French, this performance will showcase the exquisite mélodie compositions of 19th and 20th-century French composers. The event, with two 45-minute halves and a brief intermission, marks the second in our series of intimate recitals, following the success of “Lieder in the Liberties.” This unique blend of music, poetry, and visual art creates a transformative experience in Northern Liberties, Philadelphia, aiming to foster a vibrant cultural community that unites artists and enthusiasts alike. Impressionist artwork will complement the music, immersing you in the artistic world of 19th-century Paris.
